I've had your business card in my wallet since the Hayward Blues Festival in July & thought of you often. I now think of you & many musicians & artists now after the hurricane. May your artwork & your creativity shine. (And GOOD LUCK at the MONTEREY BLUES FESTIVAL later this month!!!)

This is from Charles (Manny). It was my pleasure to view your site. When I was looking through the gallery all I could think of is how do you come up with what you paint. The painting's jump out at you. You truly have to know where you came from to know where your going and you have what it takes. From the man who taught me how important it was to keep your mouth closed when brushing your teeth. lol. Thanks for everything.

To see all these pieces of your work took my breath away! WOW - I love every single piece and felt joy, elation, beauty, laughter, sensuality, pleasure, on and on and on to every emotion that can be expressed. It is not that hard to look into one of your pieces and lose yourself within the piece. Before you know it..poof.. you're in a sultry jazz club with the best music playing all around you.. not hard to imagine :-)

Your colors are beautifully vibrant and bold while being free-spirited in movement and expression; without ever losing the sense of who you are or what you stand for. Amazing work Russ..congratulations my friend. Cindy Belmain.
